My Best Friends a Pit Bull |

My best friend is a 4 year old 40lb female brindle pit mix named Brandy. My father had said for years after my last dog died that he never wanted another dog, but when he got dementia I ignored him and started looking for a companion for him. I looked and looked at all the breeds and thought of a few that might work. One day while looking at a dog on PetFinder I saw this beautiful pit that I had to have, unfortunately she had been abused and I could not adopted her due to her temperament. I turned the corner and saw the cutest Brindle Pit mix, but she ignored me. When my dad came by me all of a sudden this quiet dog started to whine and wag her tail and try and play with my dad, Brandy had picked her daddy. Needless to say I took her home and was concerned about chewing and peeing in the house since she had been a stray. I went outside to get things out of my car and when I came back in Brandy was napping on my dads feet while he was sleeping on the couch. I have been told many things about my pit.. most of which I ignore. I have been told that she will be vicious and aggressive towards dogs and kids.. to this I say go pound sand. My dog has laid there while another dog has tried to attack her, has gotten her tail bit by kittens and her ear yanked by children... all that happens is she looks at me with sad eyes and hides behind my legs.... thats my vicious dog.
